Mothering Sunday

Mothering Sunday is a Christian festival celebrated throughout Europe and it falls on the 4th Sunday in Lent.  It is increasingly being called Mother's Day although in countries other than the UK and Ireland that holiday has other origins.  Traditionally, it was a day when children, mainly daughters, who had gone to work as domestic servants were given a day off to visit their mother and family. Today it is a day when children give presents, flowers, and cards to their mothers.

This year mothering Sunday falls on Sunday April 3rd therefore don't leave it all to late, visit The Perfect Present gift shop in Cropredy to buy  from a full range of hand finished to photographic cards and  that special gift or even a box of chocolates to give or even post in store to your mum on her day!

...A new stationery stand is being delivered tomorrow has meant manoeuvring jewellery cabinets around the shop. It’s always nice to move things around gives a sense of satisfaction as it allows for stock checking, cleaning, sweeping and a new freshened up corner...

Was thinking how exciting this years fairport convention in cropredy will be - fantastic line up including UB40! and hoping the weather will be better than last years 3 day down pour!

I hear you all say urgh...but it need to be done, housekeeping, accounts, pay bills, putting Lovelink stock on web site, get web site working have a cup of coffee, make phone calls, sort the car out, go to the bank...how do we fit it all in - time managment!
